Overview

The Thu Thiem New Urban Area in Ho Chi Minh City's Thu Duc City is taking shape as one of the most ambitious urban development projects in Vietnam. At its heart is the Administrative Center - a landmark complex planned for the central civic zone fronting the central lake and public square.

Thu Thiem Urban Area - Zone Overview

The development is organized across several distinct zones, including the 99-floor tower, Trung Tam Hanh Chinh (Administrative Center), Nha Hat Opera, Lotte Eco Smart, Empire City, and the Sun Group 2C mixed-use complex.

Detailed Planning

The 1/500 detailed master plan identifies key underground and above-ground construction zones across the civic precinct in An Khanh Ward, Thu Thiem. Underground floor areas include:

• Administrative Center basement: 105,440 m² - up to 3 basement levels
• Opera House basement: 30,000 m² - up to 3 basement levels
• Public car park: 50,000 m² - up to 3 basement levels

Metro Access

The area is served by Metro Line 2 (Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem), with underground stations along Mai Chi Tho Boulevard providing direct access to the civic precinct.
