By July 2021, the Opera Residence construction was already advancing visibly on site while the final bridge span was being prepared for installation.

By July 2021, the Opera Residence massing was already visible from multiple angles along the Saigon River and from the Thu Thiem side of the project. The imagery highlights the facade lighting concept, the built podium scale, and the project's direct frontage toward the bridge connection into District 1.
The Metropole Thu Thiem stands to benefit directly from Bason Bridge, with the project sitting beside the Central Plaza and the future pedestrian bridge.

The 17th and final girder of the Bason Bridge was barged in from Vung Tau to the Saigon River ahead of the 2 September deadline, and the bridge officially completed its span on 2 September 2021. The final span had already arrived in Saigon and was ready to be joined before the holiday milestone.
